Artemis Land and Agriculture (“Artemis”) was set up specifically to buy, remediate and regenerate the site known as Crouchlands Farm.

Central to our proposals for the future of Crouchlands Farm will be rural sustainability, protecting and enhancing the environment, contributing to the growth of the local economy and supporting rural employment with new jobs.

Artemis has brought forward plans for the long term mixed-use rural diversification and operation of rurally-orientated and environmentally sustainable business enterprises, known as the Whole Farm Plan which will improve the use of the site, support the local community, contribute to a thriving rural economy and provide sound employment opportunities.

Artemis is also bringing forward plans to create a new village on a small part of Crouchlands Farm. It will be a new high-quality, well-planned and sustainable village arranged around the proposed business units, education facilities, the farm shop, café, other small shops, and leisure facilities, alongside up to 600 homes, of which 180 will be sold or rented at lower than market value. We continue to engage with the education authority with regard to the provision of primary and special needs education facilities and, within the overall masterplan, we have identified specific land at Crouchlands that would be made available should the local authorities decide that such additional facilities become necessary to serve the local community.

Artemis is making a long-term commitment to the site and at the core of our values and standards is a belief that any future development plans for the site must recognise the needs of the local community, be in step with regional and local Development Plans, be subject to wide ranging public consultation and be in full co-operation with the relevant authorities.
